Talon Magazine welcomes the submission of any original works of art, poetry, fiction, or nonfiction/news articles!
If you'd like your original work to be featured in the next issue of our magazine, review the guidelines for each of our categories; then complete a submission form and attach a document or file of the work you'd like published.
Please note that previously published work will not be accepted.
Personal or academic essays are welcome
Original and unpublished news articles must be relevant to our Comp Sci high school population and must consider the wider implications for the nation and/or world
News articles must be timely, but since Talon Magazine publishes 3x per school year, try to keep articles timeless as well
Submit up to 250 - 3,000 words to be reviewed by the Talon Magazine team
News articles must have a headline, subhead, byline, date, and relevant, high-resolution image(s)
News articles can be in any form, but please define the form in your submission (long-form journalism, inverted pyramid, feature, profile, investigative, etc.)
The document should be double-spaced, in 12pt font Times New Roman (please include references or works cited as a separate page)
With your submission, please provide a bio of up to 75 words

Submit up to four original and unpublished poems for review by Talon Magazine (please wait until the next issue to submit more poetry)
For multiple submissions, separate each poem with a clearly identifiable title
Please keep poems to approximately 32 lines in length (about one page of text)

Talon Magazine considers all mediums when publishing artwork. This includes but is not limited to illustrations, mixed media, digital art, fine art, photography, graphic arts, sculpture, and more, just not AI art
We require high-quality scans/photos of the work at a minimum DPI of 300
Artwork should be submitted in TIFF or JPG files
If you are submitting multiple works, please send them individually
Feel free to submit a short paragraph description of your artwork (it can be about the process, your inspiration, the meaning behind it, etc.)
