The briny, saline scent of the ocean was a siren’s song drawing me closer to it.
Clouds puffier than pillows and wispier than swan feathers whisked me away into a beautiful, forbidden land.
The faint flutters of the butterflies' wings taunted me to chase after them, farther away from the comforts of mama’s embrace.
Each bite of the syrupy, saccharine treats that hung suspended above sentenced me to stay with no chance of escape
And when I was met with the coarse, ragged touch of the Bandersnatch, my fate, sealed, like the final stitch of a blanket.
